19th Century Neoclassical Revival Gilt Bronze Candlesticks

Pair of neoclassical revival candlesticks with Egyptian style Figural stems and circular bases. The gilt bronze is in very good condition and they feature a caryatid figure as the stem, holding the candle holder. The base is decorated with stylized pearl and foliage. The figure is possibly modelled after Antinous, companion of Roman Emperor Hadrian. Valued by collectors of antiques and history enthusiasts.
